Cheers to the Holiday Season!
Today on the blog, I have travel tips for parents traveling with kids. The holidays are a great time to travel and visit family and friends, but it can be exhausting.
We love traveling with family and friends during the holiday season, but with kids, we’ve learned to plan accordingly.
Here are five tips to ease your travel anxiety.
Check the weather and pack accordingly. When we're traveling during the winter months, I always throw in a light coat because the weather is back and forth.
Layout all clothes based on the activities you have planned. If you're planning to have a long day at the amusement park, pack comfortable attire and shoes. Amusement park days are also excellent family photo days, so planning to wear matching shirts or the same colors helps with packing.
Car rides can be long! Pack snacks and patience. Before we travel, I order groceries from Shipt, and I pack our cooler with our favorite snacks.
Plan your travel around nap time. The first few hours of our trip, we start around nap time. This gets us at least 3 hours without stopping.
Speaking of stopping, account for stopping. We know our route pretty well when we travel. Good restrooms are hard to find on the road, so we usually stop at rest areas or well-known gas stations.
Have fun creating memories this holiday season!
